Benjamin M. W. Roberts
Ben is from the South of England and obtained his MChem degree from the University of Durham with an industrial placement year at GSK Stevenage. He completed his PhD with Professor David Leigh FRS at the University of Manchester focussing on the design and analysis of autonomous catalysis-driven molecular motors. Subsequently, Ben moved to the University of Padua, Italy as a postdoc with Professor Leonard Prins to work on nonequilibrium self-assembling systems.
Ben will shortly begin his independent career as a Junior Group Leader at the University of Ulm in the Institute of Organic Chemistry.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys outdoor pursuits like skiing, kayaking and hiking as well as drinking Chinese tea.
